Finedoor have recently designed, manufactured, and installed a 4.0 metre x 1.5 metre x two deck Asphalt screen.

Hanson’s Asphalt have been operating from the Penmaenmawr quarry for over 50 years producing 60,000 tons of quality asphalt for the surrounding area per annum.

The existing Niagara was requiring constant repairs causing lengthy shut down periods for the repairs to be undertaken.

Following the tender process Finedoor was awarded the order for the replacement screen complete with new support frame, drive, canopy, and dust encapsulation.

Following Finedoor’s site survey, the screen was to remain on the same footprint has the Niagara due to the Constance of the existing plant arrangement.

Once an installation date had been confirmed, Finedoor’s own site team installed the new screen within the timeframe the client required.

Hanson’s site Manger commented “From initial survey, through to the final installation, Finedoor delivered on what was required to a high standard. Finedoor’s engineering director, Mick Bray commented, The replacement screen was of an easy design with a two-bearing configuration running in grease as the original Niagara had done for many years. The installation was straight forward with the removal of an access bridge and roofing sheets and some small roof steelwork, giving you direct.
